32nd Photographic Society of Malaysia International Salon - 4 acceptances with a FIAP Honourable Mention Ribbon for this mono version of Archangel. This completes the requirments for the EFIAP distinction, which I will apply for next year, having just heard today that my AFIAP has been awarded.
The Credit award is the first distinction offered by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. A set of 10 images are submitted to a panel of 6 experienced judges who give a collective mark between 12 and 30 for each image individually. An average score of 20 (200 overall) is needed for the award. My panel scored 227, which is very pleasing and gives me the letters CPAGB after my name.
The images are below, with their scores beneath each. Now to work on the Distinction level! 4 accepted images in this Salon is enough to apply for my second BPE Crown Award. 2 new images accepted including one from Crosby Beach and 'Commuted' from Barcelona, below.
The Global Photographic Union gives its patronage to International Salons, and, if you have enough success in them, awards photographers with Crown Distinctions. This year I have earned enough points to receive my first and second crown. (666 points, ironically enough). I can now add the letters GPU CR2 after my name in photographic circles.
