2014 - 15 accepted exhibition images

These are my accepted images for 2014 and 2015.

Namaste (right) is my first accepted image, having appeared in the Bebbington Salon of Photography 2015 and the Wrekin International 2014.  Also selected in the New Delhi and Mumbai Salons of the JCM Print Circuit, India.

Second BPE Salon success, this time with Double Helix (right) accepted into the Solihull Open 2015

Scene of the Crime (below) was also selected for South Birmingham 2015

Accepted into the Robin Hood Open 2015 along with Future International were Lenticular Clouds Over North Wales (below) and Prayers in the Wind (below right).

Europa 2015, an International in Catalonia/Spain, brought acceptances for Ascent (above), Grooming Lions, (below), Good Friday (right) and Yamdrok Lake (below right).

The third salon in the JCM Print Circuit in Vijaywada, India brought 3 acceptances - Namaste, Taking the turn and Classic (below)

International Salon success, this time with 4 acceptances, in Feb with the Port Talbot Intl Salon 2015.  Images are:

Come on Grandad (left) was also accepted into the Clay Cross National 2015, the Basingstoke National 2015, and South Birmingham 2015

Bubbles (below) was accepted into the Carpathian Circle 2015 in Ukraine and JCM Circuit 2015's New Delhi and Mumbai Salons and in Neath BPE.  Also accepted in Neath were Come on Grandad and Marakesh Tanneries (2 below)

Taking the Turn (below) gained an acceptance in JCM Print Circuit 2015 in India, in the New Delhi Salon.

Milk Sugar Machine Gun (left) was accepted in the Alba 2015 (BPE) Salon.

Photo Emotion 2015 was a Bosnian International, into which I entered largely a new set of images. This saw acceptances for Ascent, View from my table (above) and Ecstasy (below)

The forth Salon, Hydrabad, brought acceptances for Come on Grandad, Bubbles, Namaste, Taking the Turn and Power and Control. Overall 7 out of my 8 prints were accepted in at least one salon of the circuit and 16 acceptances were gained overall.

The 43rd Photographic Society of New York International  saw me pick up 5 acceptances.  The new image was Crazy Horses (below). Also accepted were Tibetan Boy, Lenticular Clouds, Rhesus Baby Feeding.  Ascent picked up a PSNY Broze Medal.
In the 2015 Winchester National Exhibition (BPE), Crazy Horses and Ecstasy both gained an acceptance.

Come on Grandad was the lone acceptance into the Beyond Group BPE, and the South Devon Intl accepted Crazy Horses and Ascent.  This was followed by 7 acceptances in the 4th JIPF Salon in Japan.  This has two unusual categories - colour and monochrome versions of "Rock and Stone". This afforded the chance to do some macro shots of minerals, providing three of the 5 new images to be accepted.
Below are Agate Slice, Dark Crystal and Starburst.  Also newly accepted were two landscapes from Skye, Sunrise Camus Cross and Isle Ornsay Lighthouse.

Start Photo 2015 in Sophia, Bulgaria brought another acceptance for Crazy Horses and an NSFA Gold Medal for Good Friday.

The RPS Digital Imaging Group Annual Competition allowed 4 entries. Mine netted 3 acceptances (Crazy Horses and Ascent) and a Selectors Award from Andy Beel FRPS for Carry Me Over.

The 5 Salons of the 2015 German Mega Circuit accepted 6 of my images a combined total of 16 times. Suckling Seal Pup was a new image and there was a FIAP Honourable Mention for Ecstasy.

The Great Barr National brought a first acceptance for an old image, Pygmy Elephant Swimming, as well as for Crazy Horses, Good Friday and Rhesus Baby Feeding.

 Sydney International, Australia.  7 acceptances, Crazy Horses, Ascent, Carry me over, Isle Ornsay Lighthouse and three new ones in a Creative section (my first). Camus Cove, Farseer, I Will Return to You.

El Argentino 2015 (Argentina)  - 6 images selected - Crazy Horses, Ascent, Ecstasy, Bubbles, Childhood Obesity and a first appearance for The Explorer.

Overall now I have enough to apply for my AFIAP distinction this year!

The Swansea International Salon was particularly competitive, the Colour section requiring a score of 13 to get in, meaning every accepted image needed at least one 5 from a judge!
Accepted were Good Friday and Isle Ornsay Lighthouse and a new image, 'The Meeting'.

In October, three BPE Salons in quick succession brought a good set of acceptances, enought to take me well past the 25 needed for my BPE1* distinction.

Selected for the Shrewsbury Open Exhibition 2015 were Namaste, Crazy Horses, Come on Grandad, and a debut for 'The Northmen'.

Dingwall National 2015 favoured Crazy Horses, Carry Me Over and Isle Ornsay Lighthouse.

Guernsey BPE Salon, accepted Good Friday, Namaste, Carry Me Over, Tibetan Boy and another new Viking image, Stare Down.

Shenzhen, China, included Crazy Horses, Carry Me Over and Ascent and two new images, Bannerman and Aftermath. This meant that 5 out 8 images were accepted.

Frome National 2015 - In 2014 I had no images accepted at all, and it seems to be a tough event.  This year Lenticular Clouds was accepted and Ascent won a 1st Place Selectors Award from Chris Palmer FRPS

A good result from Greece and the Olympic Circuit.  4 salons, 23 acceptances all together.  The new ones were for Barkhor Square and Pagodas.

The Smethwick Intl accepted Come on Grandad, Carry Me Over and gave a debut to Fog of War.

PCA Photo Winner 2015 (Serbia) - 11 acceptances and a Salon Gold Medal for Crazy Horses.  Newly accepted was Barceloneta Metro. 

Bi-Continental Circuit, (Greece and UAE) - 32 acceptances with a PSA Honourable Mention for Carry Me Over.
Debuts for Otter Pair at Waters Edge and The Last Thing You See.
